WHERE TO GO?

BOEN TEK BIO

     Located in the Pasar Lama area, this more than three century old Chinese temple is the oldest temple in Tanggerang.Some source say that this built in 1684. Visit it at Chinese New Year or 15 days after the New Year(Cap Go Meh day)and you will see a lot of interesting activities there.

MASJID PINTU SERIBU

     Majid Agung Nurul Yaqin or Masjid Pintu Seribu has a really unique architectural style.Built in 1977, this mosque has a lot of doors. That's how it got its nickname. Inside the mosque there are many rooms for praying. THere's also a special room for those who would like to spend a night praying.

BENDUNGAN PINTU AIR SEPULUH

     Bendungan Pintu Air Sepuluh is the popular name of Bendungan Pasar baru Irigasi Cisadane. It is also known as Bendungan Sangego by the locals. True to its better known name, Bendungan Pintu Air Sepuluh has 10 flood gates, each of them 10 meters long. The dutch started to build it in 1927.

PASAR LAMA

     People say tha this market was the embryo of Tanggerang. Located not far from the Cisadane River, this market is evidence that the first trading transactions took place here. Then more and more people came to stay and started to build houses in its vicinity.

MUSEUM BENTENG HERITAGE

     This museum is like a treasure in th Pasar Lama area.it was first open to the public in 2011. We can learn a lot about the Chinese culture and the acculturation process between the Chinese and the native Indonesians. Information about foot binding, Chinese weddings, the kebaya encim, the Chinese Admiral explorer Cheng Ho , and many other interesting stuff about th Chinese can be learnt here.

PASAR LAMA

     In this old market, you can easily find traditional snacks, like pukis and home made bread, among others. What makes them unique is that none use artifcial preservatives. if you visit this market around Chinese New Year ,you can buy kue keranjang wrapped in banana leaves here.It's way more natural and healthier than the plastic wrap use in other places these days. Besides ,banan leaves give the snack a better aroma

BUN TIN

     Not far from Boen Tek Bio,There's an ice stall called Burn tin.This place is famous for its es campur and es buah.You can choose the syrup flavor you'd like to have for your ice;banana,guava,durian flavor and many others;they're all on the choice list.

KAWASAN KULINER LAKSA TANGGERANG

     Laksa is one of the food specialties of Tanggerang. You may find in other parts of the globe,but Laksa Tangggerang is different.This laksa uses noodles made of rice flour.Interested in tasting it? Kawasan Kuliner Laksa Tanggerang is the place where laksa seller gather. Visit this place, choose a table and the seller ,and order a plate of laksa with any addition you like:egg, chicken ,or chicken liver.

ENCIM SUKARIA

Nasi uduk and ketupat sayur are the main menu items in this place. The taste? Super yum!
